I am a web designer, front-end developer and software engineer, currently working as a technical lead.
My work sits between design and engineering: I design the interface, build the front end, and take responsibility for the architecture and delivery behind it. That combination means fewer handoffs, fewer compromises between the design and what ships, and a team that has one person who can answer both sets of questions.
As a technical lead I set standards, review work, and keep the day-to-day moving — while staying close enough to the code and the pixels to still make things myself.
